Beforer Rstoration
The monument, which had been suspended from the ceiling on the ground floor of the building, will be moved to the basement concourse . The new pedestal will be made in accordance with the change of the display method from hanging to pedestal installation.
Work Method
The piece was disassembled and taken back to the factory . There, the flaking plating and blue rust were removed and polished, and a new free-standing pedestal was created for floor installation. The hanging monument was also modified inside to fit the pedestal and relocated.
After Restoration
The shiny shine has been restored by craftsmanship. The newly created pedestal also maintains safety. The artist, Kota Kinutani, was very pleased with the result.
